Exceptions are treated as first-class objects with source, severity, owner and resolution path.

An exception needs a clear cause, the affected rental job or asset, an owner and a next action. A shortage may need a supply decision; failed QC may need repair or an approved substitute; a missing return needs a named recovery action. Ask to see how the record is resolved and who can approve the next step.
