Definition
Warehouse preparation turns an approved Production requirement into complete, tested, packed and dispatch-ready equipment with every exception resolved or explicitly accepted.
Pick from current requirements
Warehouse needs the latest approved quantities, models, accessories, delivery plan and instructions. Static exports become dangerous when commercial or technical scope changes.
Completeness includes dependencies
A console without its stage box or a keyboard without power is not ready. Package rules should expose missing mandatory components before packing.
Testing must control readiness
QC should use equipment-appropriate checks and retain pass, failure and evidence. Failed items leave the ready pool and reopen the requirement.
Packing and loading are separate gates
Packing proves equipment is grouped and complete. Loading proves the correct packages entered the assigned vehicle. Substitutions must update custody and Production records.
Operating workflow
From problem to controlled outcome
- 01
Pick against the approved requirement.
- 02
Test the exact keyboard.
- 03
Verify accessories and bulk cable quantity.
- 04
Record an approved DI substitution.
- 05
Verify cases and stand at loading.

- Checking only primary assets.
- Verbal QC.
- Packing without contents.
- Loading without reconciliation.
Practical tool
Operator checklist
Use this as a working review before changing process or confirming readiness.
- Make requirements version-aware.
- Define package dependencies.
- Use model-specific QC.
- Record packing structure.
- Gate dispatch on exceptions.
Frequently asked questions
Is picking the same as packing?
No. Picking selects equipment; packing confirms grouping and completeness.
Should every accessory be serialized?
No. Bulk quantities and consumables can be controlled without individual identity.
What follows failed QC?
Block the item, reopen the requirement and resolve it before dispatch.
